Vasse Felix Premier Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, Margaret River

Established in 1967, Vasse Felix is located in the highly respected wine region of the Margaret River in Western Australia. Its unique environment makes it idyllic for winemakers, with its temperate location being sometimes compared to Bordeaux. Their chief winemaker, Virginia Willcock, says that they aim to ‘hone a distinctive style that is unique and special, that people all over the world will look for.’ She joined the winery in 2006 and is one of the most awarded female winemakers in Australia. In 2018 Vasse Felix was awarded ‘New World Winery of the Year’ at Wine Enthusiast’s 18th Annual Wine Star Awards and they continue to strive towards their goal of making the “best possible wine”. This Cabernet Sauvignon is complex and elegant with red berry fruits, hints of blackcurrant and subtle orange zest. A refreshing yet powerful palate that pairs well with a steak sandwich or pork stew.
