M. Chapoutier Cornas

With roots dating back to 1808, M. Chapoutier is one of the oldest companies in the Rhône Valley. Since taking on his family winery, Michel Chapoutier’s vision has disrupted their established ways, completely changing both its viticultural and vinification practices – and making it world-renowned in the process. His quest remains to reveal terroirs through the expression of his wines, as is demonstrated beautifully here in this complex, jammy red. Expect ripe red fruit, pepper and cedar with hints of fig tree leaves, followed by spicy and floral notes. It’s soft and fresh with silky tannins and an oaky finish. Recommended with a fillet of red mullet and tapenade.
