Loosen Walhalla Dry Riesling

“Walhalla” is German for “Garden of the Gods” where the souls of heroes slain in battle were supposedly received by Odin and celebrated drinking sprees and feasts all day long. Walhalla Riesling is made from carefully selected healthy ripe grapes from the Grosse Lage (Grand Cru) vineyard, Erdener Treppchen. The juice is then fermented dry in a stainless steel tank where it stays for two years on its lees. A dry Mosel Riesling with terrific fruit, elegantly expressing the minerality of the steep red slate slopes of the Erdner Treppchen Vineyard. Delicious served as an apertif, or with a charcuterie board – it will also stand up well to white fish and poutry dishes and matches particularly well with pan-Asian flavours.
