Léon Perdigal was the estate’s very first Cellar Master, and his reputation for exacting standards is honoured in this namesake label. Lirac is on the opposite side of the Rhône River to Châteauneuf-du-Pape. You’ll find your money stretches further here, since the region is not as well known as its world-famous neighbour.
