Le Grand Fief Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie 2022

The diverse Loire Valley is home to a wide range of grape varieties but here by the coast it’s Melon de Bourgogne that rules. The combination of stony, clay soils and maritime influences from the Atlantic enable this dry white grape to thrive. The Muscadet-Sèvre et Maine appellation accounts for around 80% of its production. Crisp and zesty Muscadet is known for being a fabulous aperitif, but it’s just as delicious when paired with the right food. This wine’s lemon and fennel aromatics lead on to saline and green apple flavours. The perfect match for fresh seafood such as oysters.
