Lanson Noble Champagne Brut Vintage 2004
£170.00
With over 260 years of winemaking history, Lanson is one of the oldest houses in Champagne. Their much-loved signature cuvée, Le Black Label, was created in 1937 in honour of the house’s appointment as the official suppliers of the Royal Court of England. Lanson’s Noble Brut is only made in the best years, when weather and growing conditions are perfect for showcasing their craft. It’s produced exclusively from the Chardonnay Grand Crus from the Côte des Blancs and the Grands Crus of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. This stunning Vintage Champagne highlights over a quarter of a millennium of viticultural heritage – and it’s not one to be missed. Expect complex aromas of lemon, plum, pear and bergamot plus flavours of almond, pastry and hazelnut. The long finish has hints of apricot and candied orange that linger on – it’s no surprise that this wine has been so critically acclaimed.
