Hartford Family Wine Pinot Noir 2021, Russian River Valley

Hartford Family Winery, founded by Don and Jennifer Hartford in 1994, is nestled in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. Their focus on producing wines that embody the unique character of their vineyards is evident in this fresh Pinot Noir. Located just 15 miles from the Pacific Coast, the winery embraces regenerative farming practices, maintaining 65% of their land as natural habitat, which includes redwood forests and salmon-spawning creeks. Crafted by winemaker Jeff Stewart, this wine is a blend of subregions within the Russian River Valley. It offers aromas of black cherry, blueberry and allspice, with flavours of wild raspberry, dark berries and a touch of earthy minerality. Aged in French oak for nine and half months, it has a smooth texture and balanced acidity, making it a perfect match for dishes like grilled pork chops, duck breast or lamb burgers.
