Dominique Lafon ‘Les Vignes Franches’ 2017, Beaune 1er Cru

Fourth-generation winemaker Dominique Lafon is one of Burgundy’s leading producers. He took charge of his family’s winery in the 1980s, and in 2008 he decided to start making wines under his own label too. Thanks to his expertise, they’re pretty special. This Pinot Noir is made from old vines, so its flavours are seriously concentrated and complex. Expect notes of ripe cherry, spice and earthy leather that’ll pair beautifully with rich game meats.
