Château de Laborde ‘Aux Ételois’ Gevrey-Chambertin 2020/22
£69.99
In 1998, winemaker Hervé Kerlann and his wife Mandy fell in love with Château de Laborde. With a viticultural history dating back to 1704, the estate is steeped in heritage and located alongside some of the great Burgundy terroirs. For nearly twenty years, Hervé has worked tirelessly to reconnect it to its winemaking past – and the results are seriously impressive. This elegant bottling hails from Gevrey-Chambertin, home to some of the world’s most celebrated expressions of Pinot Noir. Made with handpicked grapes and aged for 18 months in oak, it’s silky and rich with concentrated flavours of red berries and black fruits. Complex notes of thyme, saffron and dark chocolate make it an ideal pairing for classic French dishes like coq au vin or beef bourguignon.
