Château La Croix Guillotin 2013, Puisseguin Saint-Emilion

Château La Croix Guillotin is a 10 hectare estate in Puisseguin Saint-Émilion, a small commune within the greater area of Saint-Émilion. Julien Richard – husband of esteemed winemaker Elodie Milhade – acquired the vineyard in 2013, and between them they have a wealth of winemaking knowledge. Each plot of the hillside vineyard is vinified separately in temperature-controlled cement and stainless steel vats, resulting in pure expressions of each parcel of grapes. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, this wine is partially aged in oak for 12 months to soften tannins and develop complex flavours. Discover pronounced notes of red and black fruits, silky tannins and mineral hints that pair wonderfully with roast lamb.
